The Wall Street Journal reported that the Sony hacking attack is getting worse. The report said that the data-security firm Identity Finder LLC analyzed 33,000 of the SPE documents and discover personal information, salaries and home addresses for individuals who are employed by Sony Pictures from as far back as 2000. All of the data analyzed by Identity Finder was stored in Microsoft Excel files without password protection.

The hackers who are taking credit for the hack and the posting online called themselves Guardians of Peace. Sony was first hit by cyberattack last November 24, 2014.

It is suspected that the cyber-attack was done by North Korea or its supporters because of the Sony Pictures comedy  movie "The Interview" starred by Seth Rogen and James Franco as TV reporters who are recruited to carry out an assassination attempt on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The movie is scheduled for release December 25.

The leaked also revealed the cost of the movie which is $44 million and Seth Rogen got $8.4 million, while Franco was paid $6.5 million.

  • Over 700 documents containing passwords, including spreadsheets and Word files titled “FTP passwords,” “ResearchPasswords," “ACCOUNTING PASSWORDS,” “Personal passwords,” and other files named for specific creative resource sites. There is also a file called “CA Breach Notification for User Names and Passwords (MoFo).pdf,” which someone at Sony will likely be referring to shortly.
  • 179 Outlook archival .pst mailboxes, including the mail folder of an executive at Sony Pictures Releasing Canada, an IT Audit Supervisor at Sony, as well as many “archive.pst” and “backup.pst” files.
  • Password protected documents—with their passwords in their names. (PASSWORD PALABRA SECRETA NISSAN.xlsx, PwC 2007 Report_PASSWORD_pwcemc60.pdf).

  • Sensitive business documents including film budgets (“JR_Accrued Mktg Cost 0513 - Evil Dead.xls”) and contract documents (“Cameron Diaz - Pre-approved Medical Rider.doc”).
  • Personal credentials including private key files and 1Password database backups.
  • Media files for television shows that aren’t Sony Pictures products and may have been pirated copies on an employee's desktop:

It looks like the Chinese tech company will be releasing another device after they have unveiled the N3 and the R5.

Oppo U3 has been rumored but not yet announced. The phone got benchmarked by GFXBench which means that it will reveal some of its important specs. The smartphone Oppu U3, looks like a mid-range smartphone that is for consumer who loves phones with smaller screen size. The standard screen size today is 5 inches above.

The Oppo U3 based on the benchmarked by GFXBench will come with a Full HD 4.6 inches display 1080p touchscreen with 479 pixels per inch. Amazon Kindle Voyage

Amazon Kindle Voyage, ebook, ebook reader, ereader

Amazon Kindle Voyage is a great device for reading e-books it has great features like PagePress, that lets you move from one page to another by lightly pressing the side bezel. It's a good upgrade from old function to turn pages. It has a Paperwhite display and the pixel density and clarity are also upgraded at 300 pixels per inch. The device has a new design and it is 7.6 mm thin and weighs less than 6.4 ounces.

Amazon priced the device at $199, which I feel is a little bit too much for just an Ebook reader, it's not a tablet. A lot of reviewers of this device also feels that way.

LG announced that they will have a product launch event for May 27, 2014 that will take happen in six (6) location namely: London, New York, San Francisco, Seoul, Singapore and Istanbul.

LG is hyping up and adding suspense by teasing the tech junkies with their e-invite using the tagline "To be simple is to be Great" quoting  Ralph Waldo Emerson. There have also been a report that LG is planning to launch their latest flagship smartphone "LG G3" in the first half of 2014 instead of the 2nd half that was previously reported.

Leaks about LG's smartphone shows a 2K QHD (super high resolution) screen, a huge camera and a new exciting interface that have better customization on it. It is also expected to have better specs than the Samsung Galaxy S5.

LG is also expected to unveil their new smartwatch known as "G Watch" which will run on Google's Android Wear operating system. It will be water and dust resistant.

What I'm really excited about his new LG G3 is its screen which is 2K Quad HD display. Imagine, a small phone having a 720p screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixel count which is usually for high-end desktop monitors. It will surely have a very sharp display.

They also said that the G3 will use the same graphics RAM that is used for the G2. GRAM is good for battery life since it make sure not to refresh the display if you are on a static screen like reading an email or an ebook.

The premium service will ask for a confirmation so that it can be activated meaning it will send a text message to that number with a PIN code, which needed to be sent back to active the service and start charging you money.
