Apple Bought BookLamp to Compete with Amazon

Amazon has been one of the leader in giving book recommendations now Apple wants to tap into the Amazon store market and lead them to their iBooks store by acquiring the "Pandora for Books."

Apple confirmed that they are buying BookLamp for about $15 million, though they have not released specific information about it. BookLamp is based in Boise, Idaho and develops big data-style book analytics services. Their platform let users to search for suggested books to read based on the natural language analysis of other titles that will improve the quality of Apple's iBooks app that just offers top titles, author spotlights, and categories without recommending related titles. Apple with BookLamp will give value by giving users trusted recommendations to the readers.

Lumia 930 is the latest smartphone from Nokia it is the flagship for the Lumia line. It runs on Windows Phone 8.1. It has a very clear 5 inches Full HD OLED display that is great for watching movies, TV shows, YouTube videos, and play games. It also comes with a very powerful camera, the 20MP PureView camera with optical image stabilization and ZEISS optics that gives you crisp and clear images. You can also add effects on your images through imaging apps like Nokia Creative Studio and Nokia Refocus. 

Lumia 930 is packed with a very powerful 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor that gives speed and power in making video and playing games. It also has a Sensor Core that track your activity on the daily basis that can be great in fitness apps.

After releasing the Lumia 930 to the public, Nokia has seeded a firmware update for the smartphone that was launched with Lumia Cyan update on it. There's a new update however, there are no official changelog available yet. It is said that the new update will have fixes and improvements to its hardware. The firmware update comes with build version xxxx.xxx.14252.51003.

It was not indicated on the report who assembled the unit. The iPhone 6 Clone will only be in China.

The iPhone 6 will have two display sizes 4.7-inches and 5.5-inches. It will also be powered by Apple A8 processor and will run on iOS 8.

LG a South Korean display panel maker has presented their very innovative prototype of a transparent OLED display screen that looks like a plastic sheet that can be rolled up and is very flexible. The 18-inch flexible display can be used for future flexible TVs. It has a resolution of 1200x810 pixels. However, the images on this screen is not as crisp as the latest flat displays with ultra-high definition technology.

According to LG, the display is made of high molecular substance-based polyimide film which gives it its flexibility characteristics instead of using plastic.

Another panel is transparent, and LG brag about a remarkable reduction in hazy images and up to 30% increase in transmittance, which is responsible for the screen's transparent effect.

The R&D Vice President of LG said that they are very confident that they will successfully develop an Ultra HD flexible and transparent OLED TV by 2017.

In this post, let us look closely at "HTC One mini 2". Base on its appearance the HTC One mini 2 is like a smaller twin of the HTC One M8, but if you check out the components they are completely different.
