How to Fix Weak Bed Frame

 

If you're not having a goodnight sleep due to sagging bed frame you'll need to fix it since it's not only a nuisance it is also bad for your back. Most beds have wood slats that are weak and they easily breaks specially if you have kids at home who jumps on your bed. Those weak wood slats would easily give in.

Option 1 You can reinforce the wood slats with new wood pieces.

- Just remove the mattress.
- Measure the inner width of the frame from side to side with a tape measure.
- You will need two 1-by-4 wood
- mark the inner width of the frame on a 1-by-4
 with a pencil

- Use a wood saw and carefully cut the 1-by-4 at the pencil line
- Repeat steps to cut another 1-by-4
- Lay each board on the inner rim of the bed frame, placing each 2 to 2 1/2 feet (60 to 75 cm) from the center.
