Amazon Echo Dot (2nd generation)

Amazon Echo Dot 2nd generation, smart speaker, music, sounds

Amazon's "smart speaker" is just $50 and it can do a lot of things. It's a hands-free, voice-controlled device makes use of Alexa (an intelligent personal assistant developed by Amazon.com's Lab126) to play music, control smart home devices, provide information, read the news, get the weather, set alarms, etc.

It can be connected to speakers or headphones through Bluetooth or 3.5 mm stereo cable to play music from Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, and TuneIn. Compared to the predecessor, this Amazon Echo Dot has better microphones since it can hear your voice commands over music playback or background noise.

You can adjust the volumes in the new Echo Dot using the two volume buttons on the top of the device. It has a glossy plastic casing instead of the matte black body of it's predecessor. It is available in two colors, black and white.
