The Google Wifi system is a new type of connected system that gives seamless Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home, it also eliminate dead zones and buffering. It replaces your current router, and works with your modem and internet service. It’s compatible with major internet service providers including Comcast, Time Warner, and Verizon Fios.

One Wifi point has the coverage of up to 1,500 sq. ft, a set of three can cover up to 4,500 sq. ft. Wifi points work together so you can add more if you need additional coverage. The system is equipped with Network Assist technology that make sure that your internet connection is fast by always selecting the clearest channel and fastest band for your devices.

Using a simple app gets you set up quickly and it also allows you to see what’s connected, prioritize devices, and pause the Wi-Fi on kids’ devices. The Wifi point both act as LAN ports on additional Wifi points.

The Orbi looks like a computer speaker which has two similar-looking devices, but each of them has different roles. The first unit is the Orbi router, it houses one WAN for internet connection and three LAN where you can connect your computers. This is the router and functions mostly like any other router.

The second unit is the Orbi add-on satellite it acts as a wireless extender of the Orbi router and can also host up to four wired devices using the four LAN ports. It can only work with the Orbi router, and each Orbi router can handle up to three of these add-on units.
