Samsung Releases Super-size Smartphones, Samsung Galaxy Note5, S6 Edge+
Korean Tech giant Samsung has unveiled two new Android smartphones with super-sized screens ahead of expected new iPhone. According to Samsung last Thursday August 13, 2015 that the new Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus will begin shipping on August 21 in the U.S. and Canada. Usually, Note phones don't come out until well after Apple's new iPhone models in September.
Both the Note 5 and the S6 Edge Plus, has a large 5.7-inch screens that makes them phablets. It also equipped with an S Pen Stylus with added features. Both include 4GB of RAM. It also has dual-display feature using the Apps Edge, the shortcut menu can be accessed by swiping the screen’s curved edge.
The phablets will arrive in 32GB or 64GB options, and both of them don't come with microSD slot, which may disappoint some user. The Samsung Galaxy Note5 is powered by an Exynos 7420 processor 2.1GHz. The battery for both is 3,000 mAh. The front cameras take sharper selfies using 5 megapixels.
With Contract the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is at $249.99 while the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is at $299.99.
Without contract the Note 5 will cost $696 to $720, it will depend on your carrier. The Edge Plus will cost about $75 more without contract. The iPhone 6 Plus sells for about $750. T-Mobile is throwing in a year of Netflix with both phones, while Sprint is giving away a low-end Samsung tablet with a two-year contract.
