The HTC One (M8) is the new flagship device of the Taiwanese manufacturer of smartphones and tablets HTC. The new HTC One (M8) has a bigger screen size, new camera features, and updated software. The device is only available online at Verizon Wireless (started on March 25, 2014) with a price of $199.99 with a new activation. The company said, wider North American availability is expected by 10 April 2014. 

The HTC One M8 has a metal unibody casing, a display of 5-inch 1920x1080 screen. It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, and equipped with a powerful front-facing speakers. It has a 2GB of RAM. A choice of 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, that is expandable using a Micro SD card slot. It has a 2,600 mAh battery.

Personally, the HTC One M8 is really impressive the design is amazing and don't look cheap.

HTC also said that the phone can last up to 2 weeks on a full charge when you placed it on its new power saving mode, 60 hours when on 20% charge, 30 hours on 10%, and 15 hours when 5% of the battery left.

GOQii is a wearable device that tracks your workouts. It acts like a coach that motivates you to do better and strive harder. It is like the FuelBand from Nike.

GOQii is project by Indian entrepreneur Vishal Gondal. An Indian Actress, Madhuri Dixit-Nene is also an investor in this company.

This device cost 9,999INR or US$ 162. The device is equipped with a motion sensor that monitors calories that you have shed and distance that you have covered.

Depending on how it do in test runs, it will be made available in UK, US, and Singapore.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date

Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date is confirmed, they will host an Unpacked 5 Event on February 24, 2014 Monday in Barcelona, Spain. 

It was also revealed by cover-case maker Spigen that Samsung will be sold in two variants, Standard and Prime. It was listed on their Amazon account.

Galaxy S5 is rumored to come out with a 5.25-inch screen AMOLED display for the two variants but they will have different screen resolutions. The Prime will have 2560x1440p 560 ppi display while the standard will have full HD (1920x1080p) 440 plus ppi.

The smartphone is also expected have new features like water and dust proof technology, multi-hovering technology and head-tracking gesture control and fingerprint sensor.

The device will have 2.5Ghz Snapdragon805 or 2.0Ghz Octa-core Exynos6 (64-bit). It is also suggested that Galaxy S5 will run on new the Android v4.4 KitKat OS.

Google Play malware Infecting more Gadgets

New Malware that targets Google's app store Google Play is believe to have infected more than 300,000 gadgets according to a blog post by Pandalabs.

On their blog post it said the malware will acquire the phone number of the device without the user knowledge, it will then go to a website and will register it to a premium SMS service. The premium service will ask for a confirmation so that it can be activated meaning it will send a text message to that number with a PIN code, which needed to be sent back to active the service and start charging you money. The app will snatch the PIN code and confirm the services for the user.

On their blog post they have cited one case of this kind of malicious apps.

The security company advised users to make sure to read the permissions needed to install every application, and if it asks to read SMS and connect to the Internet but such connection is not really needed, do not install it.

Xbox Music update for Windows 8.1 App: Fixes and Parental advisory

Microsoft's Xbox services will be updating the Xbox Music app for Windows 8.1, it's just a minor updates. The updates will fix bugs and will add a parental advisory on albums that have explicit lyrics. Also the "now playing screen" will display the current song that is playing, and songs that was played prior and the next song on the list.

A Device that Turns your Palm to a Touch Screen Pad

Here's an interesting tech news, an Indian IT-start up company has developed a wearable transmitter that is based on gesture that will turn your palm to a virtual touch pad interface. The device is shaped like a ring that they called Fin. It is placed on the thumb, it transmits information and communicate with other device through Bluetooth.

The wearable device can control up to three devices like smart TVs, smartphones, smart radios, and smart appliances through swipes and taps.

Rohildev Nattukallingal, the head of Koch-based RHL Vision Technologies the company behind Fin said,

"People in today's world are becoming more busy, but still they are wasting a lot of time interacting with their smart devices. Fin removes this interaction gap by allowing users to quickly interact with those devices."
