Nintendo Game Boy

Yes, you are that old. Nintendo's iconic Game Boy has turned 25 this week. The handheld game device was launched on 21 April 1989 and it revolutionized handheld gaming with its basic but addictive games.

Nintendo Game Boy device originally came bundled with Tetris, the legendary puzzle video game invented by Soviet researcher Alexey Pajitnov. The Game Boy was pretty basic handheld game device. It is powered by a 4.19MHz 8-bit processor and with just 8KB of RAM. The device is not capable of playing complex graphics. The display is just measly 160 by 144 pixels and four shades of gray.

Though it doesn't have the power and complex graphics, it outsell by a large margin more powerful handheld gaming device like Atari Lynx and Sega Game Gear.
